Is this therapy?
The short answer: No. I am not a licensed counselor, therapist, or psychologist. My training is in meditation, trauma resolution and nervous system regulation, yoga, sexuality education, group facilitation, and Montessori education. You can read more about my background here.
What does a one-on-one session look like?
We will sit together (or walk together, FaceTime/Zoom together, etc.) and we’ll just chat. It might feel like a normal conversation punctuated by me encouraging you towards more awareness of sensation, emotion, imagery, the external environment, or the wise ideas emerging from your sharing. We might meditate together, do yoga, or follow other impulses that your system is offering for further healing. The idea is that we’ll be working together to discover and encourage your nervous system’s most optimal rhythm towards greater resilience and self-regulation throughout all of life’s experiences.
How much do your offerings cost?
I offer a free, 30-minute consultation for new clients to discuss your hopes and dreams and figure out if this work is for you.
My standard rate for an hour-long, one-on-one session is $75. Couples and family sessions with two people are $100 for an hour. My classes, retreats, and group offerings vary. Check out the Scheduling and Fees page for a bit more detail.
My wish is that this work is accessible to a large variety of people from many different backgrounds. If you are interested in working together but cost is an issue, I offer a sliding fee scale on an as-needed basis.
Who do you work with?
I work with adolescents/teens, adults, all varieties of couples, kids ages 8 - 12, and people from all backgrounds and with all kinds of life experiences. I am an LGBTQ ally and BIPOC friendly. I work with all varieties of physical abilities. This work is for all Human Beings.
What sorts of problems is this helpful for?
This work is excellent for Trauma Resolution, Motivation/Stuckness, Grief, Deepening Relationships, and Navigating Adolescence.
This work offers you more inner space, more resilience and emotional flow, more capacity for self-regulation, and more agency in your life. If you experience anxiety, a feeling of being stuck, a complicated or hopeless feeling in relationships, then this work is for you. If you have experienced trauma then this approach is a really gentle way of regaining your ability to relax and enjoy life. If you have spiritual curiosity or a longing for more spiritual “juice,” then this work would be exciting for you. This approach is all about meeting you exactly where you are, and then going from there. Where are you located?
I am offering online sessions over Zoom while we all navigate the pandemic. I am open to meeting outside at a park and wearing masks— let’s talk about it.
