Hannah Ebner, M.Ed.
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and I love it: Eegee’s french fries, rainy creosote smell, the murals, the down-to-earth people. I went to Carleton College in Minnesota and studied French, psychology, art, and English literature.
After that, I spent eight years joyfully teaching in Montessori classrooms in Tucson, North Carolina, and Colorado. I worked mostly with elementary-aged kids and adolescents. Throughout my life I have hungered for more and more understanding of the complex human experience, and I continue to study what it means to be human and how to human-be. You can read more about my background, trainings, and methodology below.
“The combination of Hannah’s compassion, love and inner beauty that she sends our way makes her a very unique, highly influential person, coach, friend, and teacher that we all need in our lives. Her personal qualities and her knowledge about spirituality and life in general adds special color to my everyday life and helps me to guide myself and my life in the direction of becoming the person I am, I need, and I want to become.”

I completed an 18-month training in Spiritual Leadership with iamHeart in August 2019.

Montessori Elementary I & II Training and classroom teaching
Maria Montessori developed a method of education centered on whole human development— the word ‘whole’ refers to intellectual development as well as all other facets of human growth (creative, spiritual, social, emotional, etc). She sought to foster the children’s natural inclinations towards independence, curiosity, joy, and kindness through experiential, self-directed, hands-on learning. I received my Elementary I & II credential from the American Montessori Society after completing my coursework with the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies.
St. Catherine University Masters Degree in Montessori Education
My favorite course during this Master’s program was about the “Spiritual Transformation of the Montessori Teacher.” One of my favorite books that we read was Parker Palmer’s The Courage to Teach. It’s all about teaching from a place of spiritual growth, authenticity, and integrity.
Alternatives to Violence Project
This is an excellent program conducted by volunteers and inmates in prisons all over the country and world. I have been lucky to participate in workshops in Minnesota, Colorado, and Arizona. The workshops help participants to cultivate their capacity for peace, conflict resolution, empathy, and transformational power through dialogue, group process, games, and meditations. It is a life-changing experience for all involved.
Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education
I completed trainings in all age-levels of the Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education curriculum. It’s a comprehensive sex-ed course for multiple age groups that emphasizes safety, personal values, communication skills, inclusion, and sex positivity. It is such a joy to facilitate these courses. I have taught elementary, adolescent, and adult OWL courses in Colorado and Arizona for eight years. This book “It’s Perfectly Normal” is an excellent resource for elementary and middle school students!
The River Power Vinyasa Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training
I had a blast completing my Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with a delightful group of people. Yoga is a wonderful part of my life and I enjoy incorporating yoga into my workshops and classes to help people become more joyfully embodied.
